Big Idea: How do I improve my argument?

Learning Target: 

Reading: MWF Read your own book for 10 minutes. T Th Read an article from Newsela, TheFlipSide.io, or Allsides.com. Your first book review will be assigned on September 27th.




Agenda:

1. Read for 10 minutes and fill out the reading progress form.
2. Today you will revise your argument paragraph. The ONLY way to receive full credit is to turn it in today.
1. You must have one of the sentence patterns we practiced.
2. You must have transition words.
3. You need a two-sentence introduction.
4. You should write one strong body paragraph that uses your best piece of evidence.
5. Make sure you tie your evidence back to your thesis.
6. Highlight the transition words and sentence pattern. I will NOT accept your writing if you don't.

Homework:

1. No vocabulary.
